GoDaddy website design vs. Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — the honest numbers.
GoDaddy is the name every business owner knows, and its website design service starts at almost exactly our entry price — so owners reasonably ask what the difference actually is. Fair question. We checked GoDaddy's own pages on October 31, 2026, and here is the comparison with nothing invented and nothing hidden — including the one place where their offer genuinely includes more than ours.
Their numbers, from their own site (checked Oct 31, 2026)
GoDaddy's published design price is a one-time build fee of $499.99 — plus an annual hosting fee. What the design-services page does not show is what each plan costs: the per-plan prices are unpublished, and you learn them through their consultation and buy flow. The timeline, in their own words, is that the process "typically takes around six weeks," and their FAQ puts it at 6 to 8 weeks from the initial consultation to the launch. Their sites are built on WordPress, and one round of revisions is included.
So at GoDaddy, the true total is $499.99 plus a yearly hosting fee you confirm later, for a site that arrives in about six weeks or more. And fairness demands this too: they bring the scale of a giant — an enormous body of customer reviews and a machine built for volume. That is real, and it is their strength.
Our numbers, all published
Our entry point is the same neighborhood — a one-page website is $500 — but every price is printed before the first conversation: business website $800, premium website from $1,200, extra pages $250, and the rest of the menu in the open. The studio charges no annual hosting fee. You pay 50% to start, and the balance only when your finished site is ready and approved by you, before it goes live on your own domain. You deal owner-direct with the person doing the work, not an assigned expert hub. And when a deadline is real, express delivery runs about 3 to 5 days for an additional $500 to $1,500, when the studio takes the job express.
The honest caveat: the writing
Here is the difference in their favor, stated plainly: GoDaddy's design price includes professional copywriting. Ours does not include writing from scratch. With us, you bring your text and materials, and we shape and polish them into the pages as part of the build — that shaping is included. If you want the writing done from scratch, that is our Content Writing at $500 per page, printed like everything else. Some owners would rather hand over a blank page and pay for the writing inside the price; if that is you, their bundle may suit you better. We would rather you know it here than discover it later.
So what does this mean for your business?
Strip the brands away and the choice is about how you like to buy. A very large company's process: a consultation before you see plan prices, a hosting fee added to the build fee, one round of revisions, and six to eight weeks to launch. Or a small studio's: every price published, no studio hosting fee, half the money held back until you have approved the finished site, and the owner on the other end of your text messages. Same $500 doorway — very different room behind it.
