Privacy Policy — Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — Design Studio
Goddess Is A Crown Secrets ("we," "our") operates the Design Studio website at goddess-isa-cs-design-studio.netlify.app, where we offer website design, logos and branding, and marketing services. This page explains what information we collect through this website and our studio work, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you send an inquiry through a form on this website: your first and last name, email address, phone number (if you give it), company, your role, and the details you write about your project. On the marketing inquiry form, you may also upload pictures for us to review.
- When you contact us by email, phone, or text: the information you send us in that conversation.
- When you become a client: the name, email address, and business details we need to prepare your invoice and do the work. If a project requires access to your accounts (for example, your website, hosting, or social pages), you provide that access, and you can remove it at any time.
Speaking instead of typing
Some of our forms offer a "Speak instead of typing" button. If you use it, your voice is turned into words by your own device or browser's speech service (for example, Google's or Apple's) — we never receive or keep a recording of your voice. We receive only the written words, after you have read them over and pressed Send.
Your client project page
When you become a client, we invite you — after your deposit — to a private project page on this website. You sign in with your email address and a password you create; we never see or hold your password. Your page shows your project's status, its checklist, and its next steps. Anything you send us through the page — for example, your ideas and notes — comes to us marked with your name and business, so we know whose project it belongs to. We keep this information with your client records, under the same rules as everything else in this policy.
Information we handle for our clients
When we build or manage a website for a client, information that the client's own visitors send through that website — for example, through the client's contact form — is handled on the client's behalf. The client is responsible for its own website and its own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover information we process for a client. This policy covers our own website and our own studio work.
Payments
Invoices are emailed through Stripe, and payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own privacy policy — we do not receive or store your full card number. If you pay for a monthly service by card, Stripe keeps the payment details needed for the monthly billing.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, the service that hosts it (Netlify) automatically receives basic technical details — such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit — so the site can load, stay secure, and be protected against misuse. We do not use this information to build profiles or to advertise to you.
Cookies
Our own website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use cookies to follow you around the internet. Pages run by other services — such as Stripe's payment pages — may use cookies that are needed for security, sign-in, and completing your payment. Those cookies belong to those services and are explained in their own privacy policies.
Do Not Track
Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals sent by browsers — and it does not track you: we run no advertising or analytics trackers that follow you.
Texting and your mobile number
If you give us your mobile number, we use it to talk with you about your inquiry and your project. We never share mobile numbers — or the fact that you agreed to be texted — with anyone else for their marketing, and we never sell that information. Your carrier's message and data rates may apply, and you can ask us to stop texting at any time.
How we use your information
- To read and answer your inquiry, including sending an email confirming that we received it.
- If you write to us in a language other than English, we may translate your message so we can read it — and we reply in your language.
- To prepare quotes and invoices, and to provide the services you hire us for.
- To communicate with you about your project by email, phone, or text.
- To keep business and tax records we are required to keep.
Why we are allowed to use it
For visitors and clients in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name a reason for each use. In plain words, ours are:
- To answer your inquiry and do the work you hire us for — to carry out our contract with you, or to take steps you asked for before one begins.
- To run and protect the studio — our legitimate interests: keeping the website secure, answering messages, and keeping the records a small business needs.
- To keep tax and business records — because the law requires it.
- For anything optional — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
What we do not do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We do not share your information with anyone except the services that make the studio work — Stripe (invoices and payments), Netlify (website and forms), Brevo (service emails, such as your inquiry confirmation), and Google (our email and studio phone line) — and only as much as each one needs to do its job.
When we must share
We may share personal information when the law requires it — for example, to answer a court order or a lawful government request, to meet tax and record-keeping duties, to prevent fraud, or to protect our rights and our clients' safety. We share only what the situation requires.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for up to 12 months. We keep client and project records for as long as we work together and as needed afterward, and we keep invoice, tax, and business records for 7 years. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete everything we are not required by law to keep.
Your choices and how requests work
You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@goddessisacrownsecrets.com and we will take care of it. We answer privacy requests within 30 days. To protect your information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you using only automated processing — there is no computer-only decision here that could legally or significantly affect you.
Buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, to limit how we use it, and to object to our using it. We are based in the United States, so when you contact us or hire us, your information is transferred to and kept in the United States; where the law requires extra protection for that transfer, we rely on standard contractual clauses — the legal safeguards the EU requires for sending information abroad — where they apply. If you believe we have handled your information wrongly, you may complain to your local data protection authority — and we would also welcome hearing from you first so we can make it right.
California clients
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. A person you authorize to act for you (an authorized agent) may make a request on your behalf. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads that follow you from site to site) — so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
How we protect your information
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us. We limit access to client information to what is needed to run the studio. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. If a data breach ever affects your information, we will notify the people affected and the regulators the law names, where the law requires it.
Children
Our studio provides services to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
Our website links to services we do not run. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover what they do with your information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change is a big one — for example, a new way of using information — we will announce it on this page ahead of time and, where we can, email active clients before it takes effect.
